kunstort ELEVEN ist eine impulsgebende Initiative im ländlichen Raum, die zur Auseinandersetzung zeitgenössischer Kunst in der Peripherie der städtischen Kulturzentren beiträgt und dabei allen künstlerischen Sparten und genreübergreifenden Kunstformen ein Forum gibt. Interaktion und Intervention mit bzw. in dem Ort und der Umgebung stellen wesentliche Elemente des Projektes dar. kunstort ELEVEN ist ein unabhängiges Non-Profit-Kunstprojekt, das durch die Gemeinde Starzach und den gemeinnützigen Verein Schnittstelle ELEVEN e.V. unterstützt wird.

Die Basis von kunstort ELEVEN befindet sich in der ehemaligen Werkrealschule von Börstingen, die seit 2015 zu einem Ort für Kunst und Kultur transformiert wird. Der 750 Einwohner zählende Ort Börstingen ist ein Teil der Gemeinde Starzach und liegt im Oberen Neckartal zwischen Rottenburg und Horb - in der Peripherie der Kulturstädte Stuttgart und Tübingen. kunstort ELEVEN will hier einen besonderen Ort schaffen für Inspiration und Innovation. Das Projekt bietet Künstlern die Möglichkeit zum konzentrierten künstlerischen Arbeiten – als Teil eines kreativen Miteinanders von Künstlern untereinander und den Anwohnern des ländlichen Oberen Neckartals. Regelmäßig werden vor Ort Künstlergespräche und unterschiedliche Kunstaktionen organisiert.

ELEVEN artspace is an artistic initiative in a rural location which provides a forum for all artistic disciplines and interdisciplinary work, encouraging encounters with contemporary art forms outside of urban cultural centres. Artists of all disciplines can apply for residencies from one to three months each to live and work together - and encounter the rural region artistically. Interaction and intervention between art and the locality in which it is practiced is a significant aspect of the project.
ELEVEN artspace is based in a former vocational secondary school in Börstingen which has been in the process of being transformed into a location dedicated to Art and Culture. The village of Börstingen (with 750 inhabitants) is part of the community of Starzach and situated in the Upper Neckar Valley between Rottenburg and Horb in the rural environment between from the larger cultural centres of Tübingen and Stuttgart.
ELEVEN artspace is an independent non-profit art project which is supported by the community of Starzach and the public-service non-profit organisation Schnittstelle ELEVEN e.V. The name ELEVEN is derived from the archaic term for “pupils/students” (= Eleve/Elevin/Eleven).

C'est au début de 2015 que l’ancien collège de Starzach-Börstingen est devenu un espace de création artistique portant le nom “kunstort ELEVEN", ayant comme objectif dy créer une résidence dartistes internationaux. Dès maintenant des artistes internationaux de toutes disciplines ont l’occasion d’y résider et d’y réaliser un projet de création en relation avec la région pour une durée de 1 à 3 mois.
Starzach qui se trouve dans la vallée du Neckar (Oberer Neckar) est situé dans une région que l’on appelle ici „la Toscane souabe“. À part la lumière exceptionnelle en hauteur et dans la vallée du Neckar, il y a plein de choses à découvrir. Cespace artistique “ kunstort ELEVEN" excellentes conditions pour travailler de façon concentrée ainsi que des lieux de rencontre et d’échange, et bien sûr beaucoup de sources d’inspiration grâce à son cadre particulier.
