A Teaspoon of Earth and Sea is a magical novel about a young Iranian woman lifted from grief by her powerful imagination and love of Western culture.

Life in Iran after the Revolution threatens almost everything that Saba and her family value most in their lives. They realize that they must flee to the West, but that is extremely risky and difficult. If they stay, they risk being exposed as converts, a crime punishable by death.

Nayeri´s debut novel, released in 2013, was translated into 13 foreign languages and was selected as a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers book.

Dina Nayeri holds an MBA and a Master of Education, both from Harvard, and a BA from Princeton.
