Is it a profound novel dressed in pictures, or a dull story enhanced by an artistically produced comic strip? When reading graphic novels, students find gratification in the quick paced page-turning; feeling they have read more, when in fact they have read very little. Motivating students is definitely
the quintessential aim for teachers, but how can graphic novels with comparably little text have the same level of renowned association as a traditional novel? This teacher training program provides theoretical input on this modern genre and offers various teaching tips, including ready-to-use classroom material in accordance with curricular standards. Course for teachers of English, Bilingual History, and Bilingual Politics, grades 7 to 12.
