Join us in a lively, spirited exploration of crime fiction and the border between populardom and literature. Take a look at any bestseller list and you will notice that for the most part the same genres tend to dominate the market, and for decades crime fiction has consistently topped these lists, feeding the often unspoken hunger for sensationalism.

For this reason, thrillers are often thought to be based on market, not literar y, principles. Yet this genre is also a highly effective means to expose the underbelly of American society, and through the reading and dissection of the classics of political noir from Hammett and Chandler to Ellroy we hope to gain further insight into the “innard-workings” of our world. – Weitere Termine: 1.6., 1.7.
