This documentary film examines the work and lives of librarians in American movies. Dozens of interviews with real librarians are interwoven with clips of cinematic librarians, all of which act as a reflection on the larger topics of censorship, intellectual freedom, children and librarians, pay equity, funding issues, and the value of reading.
