Further dates and books:
Fr. 13.11.: Nemesis is a gripping story, which explores the subjects of fear, suffering, pain, and guilt. Amidst a life-threatening polio epidemic in a Jewish neighborhood in Newark in 1944 and a seemingly safe children’s summer camp, the playground director Bucky Cantor grapples with the worry and guilt he feels towards the neighborhood’s children.
Fr. 11.12.: Olive, Again is the sharp-witted sequel to Elisabeth Strout’s acclaimed novel “Olive Kitteridge”, in which the reader gets to follow their favorite character through another batch of fun, observant, and thoughtful short stories. The iconic Olive continues to startle us, to inspire us, and to remind us what it means to be human.
